Proper inspection, quality control and workmanship assessment of the construction and associated industries play a vital role in ensuring that today’s building and infrastructure perform adequately over long time periods. We work with clients to meet construction material requirements, evaluate potential material failures for helping clients to formulate appropriate maintenance plans in property managements, and investigate construction materials related problems and failures when they occurred.

Infrared (IR) Thermography

In recent years, the IR survey has been widely used by architects, construction engineers and property managers to assess the quality of building structures. IR thermography is a method for measuring the temperature distribution of a surface. It is a simple, rapid and non-contact method for indicating areas where defects or weak points exist. Our certified thermographers can use the state-of-the-art infrared camera to detect a host of problems from structural components and building shells.

Water Seepage Investigation

Water seepage problem is bothering lot of property owners and the tenants. We have years of experience in detecting the source of seepage using different technologies, such as the infrared survey, and have been successful to solve numbers of water seepage problem. We have recently brought the new technology of microwave moisture measurement to provide a more comprehensive solution to the water seepage problem.

Workmanship Assessment

The assessment is usually conducted after construction and maintenance work and even during material design stage because it is important to conduct testing to make sure the workmanship and materials used whether they are acceptable. The purpose of these tests is aimed at measuring the mechanical tensile strength of the building related materials. The test findings offer data for not only site engineers to determine the strength and durability of the structure, but also material suppliers or designers to realize the performance of the materials used in an in-situ environment.

Structural Diagnostic Test

Structural diagnostic test resembles the IR thermography and workmanship assessment, but it is usually conducted prior to carrying out any repair or maintenance work in a building. The investigation involves different destructive or non-destructive tests so as to provide information on integrity and durability of structures. Engineer or architect can devise an appropriate, cost-effective plan for the repair on the basis of the test results.
